Infographica - The world as you have never seen it before

by Martin & Simon Toseland

New into the library this week!

Do you know what an infographic is?  Here is the definition according to Wikipedia:
Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly.[1][2] They can improve cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system’s ability to see patterns and trends.[3][4] The process of creating infographics can be referred to as data visualization, information design, or information architecture.[2]
Infographics are cool! This book is chock full of infographics on lots of different things.  You can see The number of satellites which orbit around the earth by country, the average time people spend watching television country by country, the number of McDonald's per country, the cars driven by James Bond, some of the longest words in various languages, the world's busiest airports, untimely deaths of rock legends.  As you can see, a lot of variety and a lot of wacky information in one handy volume.
