Screw Loose by Chris Wheat

Review by Ben Whitcombe (Year 10) as part of the 50 Book Challenge

The story follows the different troubled lives of a bunch of teenagers, at school in Melbourne, Australia.  It is the second book in a series but you don't have to read the first one to like this one.  There are lots of twists and turns around every corner in this book.  Elephants, Doggirl, football, first love, some criminals, new love, and one hellava party this book is great for unusual people, because there are plenty of them in here!

I really liked the twists and turns in the story, the characters developed well, and it was a really good book.  I thought the ending was a little disappointing compared to the rest of the book.  My comments are that it is definitely weird, there are people who talk to Barbie dolls, and a girl who boils and then irons shoelaces, seriously!  It is funny and strange and I liked it, but not everyone will.
