Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
Review for: Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan
Reviewed by Aidan Hall (year 13)
This book is written by 2 people, Rachel Cohn, and David Levithan who each write half of the book. Rachel writes as Norah, the daughter of a record company exec, who fails to fill her father’s expectations of an out of control teenager, and David writes as Nick the non-queer bassist in the queer core band previously known as None Of Your Business
So, this book is about a night Nick and Norah spend together in New York, after Nick randomly asks Norah to be his girlfriend for 5 minutes, after he sees his ex walk up to him while sitting at the bar in a club. However, this 1 question leads on to more, as Nick and Norah spend the evening getting to know each other, over a few MAJOR ups and downs, as they walk around Manhattan. Did I mention that Norah was kinda one of Nick’s ex’s best friends?
I liked this book because of how one chance question, asked in order to avoid some-one else, leads onto 2 people getting to know and love each other, over the course of a single night.
