Welcome to the library blog. You'll be able to see what is happening in this busy place, find resources to help with study and homework, view the books we love, find careers information and have some library fun.
The blog is a mix of the interesting, the helpful, the quirky and the fun! Comments are welcome, staff and students can submit reviews and suggestions to Bridget Schaumann, the librarian at firstname.lastname@example.org Our school is located in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.
Every year Mr Frost who is our year 13 Classics teacher invites his class to enjoy the classical guitar playing of our Music and Maori teacher Mr Nathan Tane in the library. Mr Tane always performs Classical Gas which is a special request by Mr Frost for the class, but also speaks to the students about the history of the pieces he is playing. Every year the students sit enraptured by the music, and are amazed at the skill and technique of the playing. Mr Tane is a well known performer around Dunedin and he plays styles other than classical music as well. Not just students arrive for these concerts, staff who have non-contact periods also head to the library to enjoy the music. It is a beautiful thing!
