End of term means display update time.
Here is a photo of one of the displays which is about to up and leave the building!
It is going to be replaced by another one showcasing our art book collection.
There is also a new display which shows the history of King's High School. There are the original architects concept drawings from 1936, and photographs and drawings from throughout the years.
The boys are really interested in it, and also in the year book covers which are around the drawings. Mr Larkins, our resident historian, is going to write up an article to go with the display. The finishing touches will be applied during the school holidays.
With the end of the term almost here the quest is on.
Overdue books which haven't been seen in the library for a long time will be invoiced over the holidays, so there is a flurry of activity around the returns box. Those boys who need large quantities of reading material over the holidays, are headed to the library with arms full of books to bring back, and leave with arms full of books to take home for the break.
The photo was taken at interval and shows only some of the books that have come in today. It will be a shelving afternoon I think.
