What is it about? A guy called Matt Browning was thrown out of the SAS for questioning orders. He then goes and starts his own bar, but before he knows it, he is blowing up factories.

What did you like most about it? The blowing up of the factory.

What didn't I like? All the talking!

Cherub - The Recruit by Robert Muchamore

The Recruit is about a boy called James, who gets into a lot of trouble. One day he got into a fight with a girl. He goes home after school and has to go and get his sister and when he gets back he finds his Mum dead.

What did I like most about it? James going on a mission

What didn't I like? That he got into a fight with a girl!

Q and A by Vikas Swarup

What is it about?
It is about a teenager called Ram Mohammad Thomas, who is jailed for winning an Indian game show, he is a teenager who has never been to school and it seems impossible for him to win a quiz show unless he cheated.

What did I like most about it?
It has suspense and controversy.

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief - a review by Vladimir Manza (year 10)

What is it about?
It is about a demigod who is blamed for stealing the master bolt. He goes to find it. On the way he encounters gorgons, flying shoes and even a three headed dog. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because I liked it so much. I am now reading the rest of the series.

What did I like most about it?
The characters. They are so complex.

What didn't I like?
Nothing!

What is this book about?
It is about demons, and this kid who watches his parents get killed, an has to go and live at his Uncle's house. He learns more about how his life with his family works. He finds out that as crazy and deadly as the world now seems, his life is about to get a whole lot worse!!!

What did I like most about it?
I really liked the chess game!

What didn't I like? I didn't much like the bits where they sit down and talk. I liked all the rest of it though.

Gems and Jewels by Abdul-Malik Mujahid

What is it about?
Well, this book is about interesting events and moral lessons from the Islamic history, so it's basically about the religion of Islam and how people do different stuff in cultures. It's just an amazing book, you learn and it has some humourous parts in it, so I'd recommend it to everyone.

What did I like most about it?
From this book, I liked comparing how the Muslims do things compared to other countries. Their believes and sayings are always thoughtful.

What I didn't like?
The only think I didn't like about this book was the ending part, because it just dramatically stopped with an interesting event, but other than that I'd give it an 8/10!
